Woman Of Sorrow

Luke 7:13

When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and He said, "Don't Cry."

What comforting words came from the very mouth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The passage said, "His heart went out to her." He saw her grief, loneliness, affliction because of the lost of her husband and only son. She became a widow. A woman full of sorrows. Yet Jesus stood by her.

Jesus prophesied by Isaiah as the Man of sorrows. He was despised and rejected by men. Jesus is the representative of the most sorrowful men in the world. He bears the sin of the whole world on the cross of Calvary. He grieved for our sins, he endured sufferings, shames and scarifices just to show that God loves all of us. He cares for all.

Without Christ in our life, we are like the woman of sorrows. Our happiness is so shallow. If we want joy, real joy, wonderful joy, we shall let Jesus come into your life.
